 PRISON  GROUP PROGRAMS

At QuIHN, we deliver a range of group programs to individuals in the following prisons, Townsville Men’s and Women’s, Lous Glen (Cairns), Borallon and Palen Creek. QuIHN programs are designed to support people who want to make changes to their substance use, improve their mental health, and enhance overall well-being.

HOW TO MAKE A REFERRAL

If someone you know could benefit from our group programs, or if a loved one has asked how they can join a group inside, let them know to ask prison staff for the ‘Self-Referral Form.’
Submitting the form will add their name to the allocation waitlist to be assessed and enrolled in the program. Please note that all waitlists are managed by Queensland Corrective Services (QCS).
QuIHN’s group programs, are at times run out of Townsville and Cairns Community Corrections for people on Community Supervision Orders. These programs are designed to meet participants where they are in their journey, offering support and strategies to overcome substance use challenges.

All Referrals are made through Community Corrections if you are on a Community Supervision order and want to participate in our group programs, please ask your case manager or parole officer for more information regarding group dates and waitlists.
