TIDE Project seeks to support those people onto accessing the new Hepatitis C Treatments.
Who can be part of TIDE?
People living with Hepatitis C and people injecting drugs or On Opioid Replacement Therapy or Counselling/support services for drug related issues.
If you are not sure whether you may have contracted Hepatitis C or not our medical services (Better Access General Practice Clinic) can help you access testing for hepatitis C or we can refer you to a G.P. or testing service closer to your location.
Did you know that Hepatitis C can be cured?
Hepatitis C can be cured and treatments are becoming more and more effective. Response rates are now well above 90%. Speak with your QuIHN worker today about access for treatment options to suit you. If you have moderate or severe liver scarring, any decision to delay treatment has to be carefully balanced against the risks of putting off treatment. If left for too long, there is a chance that treatment may no longer be a safe or effective option.
For further enquiries about the TIDE Project , how to make an appointment, contact your closest QuIHN office and ask to speak with one of the NSP Workers.
