The fundraising subcommittee has six places for people to assist in our endeavours. Working with us will provide you with lots of opportunities and experiences. For some people we may be able to play a positive role in assisting you to return to work and will be happy to supply references detailing skills and experience you gain whilst being part of our team.

The CHI Study – for people with hepatitis C
We want all people in Australia who have ever been diagnosed with hepatitis C to participate in the first ever longitudinal social research study into hepatitis C!

Chi Study

The CHI Study is a national, online, social research study finding more about the lives of people who have been diagnosed with hepatitis C. Funded by the Australian Federal Government, and supported by all Hepatitis Councils, it is currently on-line NOW.

The study is available to all people who have ever been diagnosed with hepatitis C – even people who have cleared the virus. It does not matter whether you have or have not been treated we want to hear about your experiences of living with hepatitis C.

We are looking to get as large a national sample of people from right across Australia as possible, to help us paint an accurate picture of what living with hepatitis C is truly like – this includes those of you from regional and remote areas, as well as capital cities – and we need them to participate.


The study looks at factors that have not previously been investigated on over a period of time. Some of these factors include relationships, attitudes to certain therapies and decisions around families and treatment.
